Lecture Series: Being Receptive by Hershall Seals
June 11 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Being Receptive: Allowing Spiritual Experience Through Art
A receptive mindset is needed to allow art to affect us in deeper ways. How can one allow art to do the work on the viewer, and not the other way around. How does one find meaning in the artwork by simply dwelling with it. We will look at examples of contemporary art works and discuss the merits of meaning making.
